Selected paintings from the exhibition »A Way Home«, September 15 – October 27, 2012, Dschungel, Mannheim, Germany.

Landscapes, paths, trees, birds and nests are the predominant imagery in A Way Home. The pieces were mainly inspired by landscapes I photographed while walking along my favorite nature preserve paths in Mannheim and at the Lake of Constance, Germany.

Many of the paintings are centered, calm and quiet. However, the landscape moves as the viewer is invited to enter the path or scene and contemplate where it leads and how the space feels.
